As a leader of community groups for over 20 years. Tonya’s career has been spent listening to people’s concerns then making plans to address those concerns. Bringing people together for a stronger community has been her life’s work.
Listening, consensus-building and thoughtfulness are skills Tonya Graham has in abundance. Tonya is precisely the mayor Ashland needs to face the challenges and opportunities in the years ahead.
Years ago I worked with Tonya when she helped a group of us come up with a far more realistic and professional presentation than any of us could have hoped for. She was very much the “adult in the room” in that project. I’m confident she would also take that role in City Council meetings.
