As a Millennial third-generation Thorndike from the Rogue Valley, I enthusiastically endorse Tonya Graham for Ashland mayor. She is a smart, experienced, and tireless leader singularly focused on real-world results.
Tonya is also a personal hero. Since graduating from AHS in 2005, I have organized to pass climate policies here and across the country. Over these 15 years I have met few executives as capable as Tonya.
In 2013, she generously helped me co-organize a local civic art project that grew into the national organization Our Climate. For years to follow, I served on the board of her organization — the Geos Institute — where I observed Tonya manage a team to set and exceed ambitious goals. One of her flagship programs helps city leaders prepare for the impacts of climate change.
After this fiery summer, could we ask for a better candidate to lead Ashland into the future?
